"Fine Bara"

My daddy uses this word "Fine Bara" to refer to someone who begs in a refined way or whose pastime is begging! What brought about this topic? I went for lunch today and on my way out, the little boy who works with the caterers in the lunch room just followed me out asking "Aunty you no go give me money?" I looked at him wondering if I'd forgotten to pay considering the authority with which he was asking for money. Of course I had paid but bros wanted some change. Don't get me wrong I'm not tighfisted, on the contrary i'm pretty generous if I may say so myself. I just looked at him and said "Sorry, nothing today". I'm not against giving but when someone makes it seem like it's my duty when he's "fine bara-ing" then I have a problem. I think people should learn to be contented and when it seems like they really need help, there are pleasant and courteous ways of asking without irritating the other party. Anyways that's that.
